Akonza Barbell Deluxe Power Cage Review

Akonza Barbell Deluxe Power Cage

Akonza Barbell Deluxe Power Cage Rack

Akonza Barbell Deluxe Power Cage is a solid and sturdy entry level product that is made of heavy duty 12 and 14 gauge steel, that is both comfortable and safe to use. It has a 300 lb. user weight capacity for the top sections and 300 pounds on bar catches so you’ll be fine as long as you do not load it with super heavy weights.

It comes with two Olympic plate and two bar storage parts. Although this is a relatively low-cost product it includes adjustable hook and security catch, a pull-up bar and resistance attachments. It is very strong and stable with the welded tube seams and the capped open frame ends, so there is also no oxidation internally. The upper workout bar is made of very good quality tubular steel and is welded on both sides with small gussets.

So you can be certain when you’re working your upper body on it, as long as you do not weight more than 290-300 pounds or so. This small workout station is designed to handle a wide range of heavy workouts. It is designed to hold a 7 feet Olympic bar and a total weight of 300 pounds. You will only get the power cage you see in the photo (with the bar storage, plate holder, band posts and bar catch), along with the instructions manual and tools you need for assembly. So you will not get any of the weights, bands or accessories you may need.

Akonza Barbell Deluxe Power Cage

Gray Akonza Power Cage weighs 110 pounds and measures 47 x 61 x 85 inches as assembled. You will get it shipped in a box that measures 53 x 22 x 12 inches. It has a nice and modern design and appearance overall and will look fine in any home gym or garage. This is a decent product but not commercial grade for professional body builders and it does the job fine as long as you stick to the maximum 300 lb. max weight limit rule.

It offers a good deal of versatility and functionality and is good value for the low price point. It stays stable when you’re doing pull ups on the upper tubular frame and when you have weights on the plate holders on both sides. It is quite easy to assemble on your own in less than an hour and is even easier if you get help from someone else. If you want something sturdier than this, that is more of a commercial level that you can use at the gym, you definitely need to spend much more than what this power cage costs. It will easily handle the usual squats, bench presses, chin ups and pull ups and you will see how stable it feels when you start using it, especially when you have weights on both sides.
