Uprights that are just behind the bench are adjustable for height and the leg developer includes comfy foam rollers and are also adjustable. You’ll find an olympic plate adapter that allows the unit to be used with either the standard or Olympic plates and the spring clips to be used on leg developer. It has a no-pinch design and safety hooks and U-shaped stabilisers on the front leg for extra security and stability. You can adjust the extra dense foam padded backrest for varying incline, decline, flat and even full upright- 90 degree military positions smoothly to be able to target different parts of your body. It comes with a thick comfort cushion padding which feels quite solid and comfortable as part of this good quality heavy duty bench with a 2.5 inch square tube that can carry quite a bit of user weight and is perfectly suitable for advanced users and people at different fitness levels. Crunch handle attachment is good for working on your core section- abdominals by doing ab crunches. The weight racks are adjustable and serves two purposes: An adjustable squat rack and a bench press upright. You can do quite a few exercises on this unit, including normal bench press, incline press, decline press, seated overhead or military press, cable rows, hamstring curls, preacher curls, ab crunches and sit-ups at different incline angles.
Body Champ BCB5860 looks nice in dark grey and black, looks and feels decent quality, weighs 78.5 pounds and measures 76 x 56 x 55 inches so not particularly a very compact or light unit to be carried around easily. It is sent quickly via Amazon.com, in a solid box, will require some assembly and you can probably start using it in a couple of hours after opening the package- you will find a couple of small tools and a clear instructions manual to help you out with putting it together but will be even easier if you have the extra tools like the large adjustable wrenches. One of the customers commented that they could not find the instructions on how to use the included cable attachment but is basically for doing seated cable rows and another thing is the weight storage bars are a bit small and they would have liked them to be a bit more solid but the bench itself is not wobbly at all when you work out with heavy weights. Please note that the maximum you can bench on this unit is specified as 180 pounds, but have no doubt about how comfortable it is to workout on and its robust construction. Body Champ weight bench is adjustable, solid construction, comfortable with thick padding, right size and width so get to do your exercises without interruption but at the low price point please do not expect it to be like those gym quality very expensive heavy duty benches and you still get more than what you pay for in this case.
