Bowflex SelectTech 100584 is a modern, ‘end of 2017’ release dumbbell stand with a media rack and an ergonomic design. It scores 4.3 out of 5 stars by 87 customer reviews and ratings, being a very popular product at Amazon.com despite its fairly recent release date.
There is a free Bowflex SelectTech App that you can download on your Android or iOS phone for using the trainer lead workouts, journaling, and custom building your own. Your tablet or smartphone will stay put in place thanks to the Teflon grip material on the large media rack. You will have a very easy access to your entertainment videos and music, training material and other stuff.
You will not need to pick up any heavy weights off the floor and any back injuries will be prevented thanks to its ergonomic design. You can use this great modern dumbbell stand with the SelectTech 552, 560 and 1090 model dumbbells by Bowflex. The unit has a rather simplistic design and is easy to put together after you take it out of its box. It is also easy to store as you can move it away easily to a more convenient part of your house.
There are no transport wheels underneath for security reasons, but four adjustable feet. Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbell Stand weighs around 30 pounds and measures 25L x 26.4W x 26.9H inches, has a small footprint and will not occupy too much space. If you put this stand right against a wall it will come out about 22 inches from the wall. Removing the media rack or modifying any part of this rack is not recommended.
If you have small kids or pets in the house, it is quite a sturdy product that won’t shake, topple over or move easily unless you want it to. The weights even have the belts to help them keep even more in place in case of a potential accident. But even
without the belts, they are reported to sit very safely on their stands. You may also be familiar with the Bowflex SelectTech 560 Stand that can only be used with the 560 model dumbbells and that has the measurements of 23.2 x 35.7 x 21 inches.
You’ll get it shipped to your address in a very solid package in less than a week in most cases. If you notice that the dumbbell base moves up each time you lift the dumbbells, please use the straps provided that are designed to wrap around the base. This is a very good quality, sturdy and durable and a nice looking product that we highly recommend. Please note that it doesn’t come with a lower level towel rack like the previous model by Bowflex.
Please make sure you do not assemble the media tray or it’ll be difficult for you to fit the bases for dumbbells: First the media tray and then tighten the dumbbell bases. You’ll get the tools you need for installation in the package or you can also use your own tools. Nut and bolts are apparently not great and a couple of customers had a hard time using them during the assembly. This is something the company may want to make note of, but everything else is reported to be very good quality. And overall it is very good value for the dollar.
