It has a better capacity of up to 325 pounds of user weight because of the reinforced frame (tested up to 325 lbs), has wider and longer side platforms than typical treadmills for extra security, 16 x 45 inch walking platform / tread belts (weighs 73 pounds and the whole thing measures 50 x 29 x 50 inches when assembled), very long 18 inch handle bars (which is like twice the length of other treadmills). It is very hard to lose your balance on this treadmill and getting on and off the platform is easy. It is easily foldable and includes transportation wheels so can be stored away easily. You can walk without touching the handle bars thanks to the magnetic resistance pacer controlling stability and you can also jog and run so it is not just for walking. Exerpeutic is a part of the Paradigm Health and Wellness Inc. and they are known to offer very good quality products at reduced prices and this product comes with a 3 years limited warranty by the manufacturer. It is not the cheapest manual treadmill out there and the steeper ride is not harder on this unit- one of the customer commented that you will get more tension/resistance on the lowest 8 inch incline but is certainly a very good deal in terms of quality, performance, features and stability.
