Gymmatsdirect Gymnastics is a hot new release training bar for kids- juniors with a sturdy construction and modern design. It is a horizontal kip bar that is adjustable for height. You can purchase the Gymmatsdirect in blue or pink, with the latter being 7 dollars more at the time of this review. Pink may be more suitable for the girls and blue for the boys. As a heavy-duty product with a sturdy construction and heavy-duty materials it feels very stable and well made. It has a gross weight of about 70 pounds, a bright wear-resistant and rust-proof stainless steel regulating arm and a thick and heavy-duty, safe, reliable and heavy duty steel base of three steel tie rods that are powder polyester painted.
You won’t need to use any plywood to balance or stabilize this kip bar like you would with the other smaller junior kip bar. The top bar that you hold during the exercise is a fiberglass rail with a 35mm diameter with an anti-slip synthetic wood on the outside (stronger than regular wood) and that supports a maximum user weight of 130 pounds. You can adjust the height between 36 and 59 inches at 2.3″ interval for 10 different heights with the special screw knobs with a unique design (dual spin locking mechanism). The bar will stay locked in place when you adjust the height and will feel as stable at 59″ as it does at 36″.
You’ll get all the components shipped in a sturdy box of two layers with bubble wrapping. It is easy to put together and disassemble when needed and will take up a floor space of approximately 4.2 x 6 feet. And the recommended ceiling height is between 8 to 10 feet. You can use any 4 feet wide mats that you can order from the same seller on Amazon.com. It is recommended for use by the kids with skill levels from 
beginner to intermediate. You can use it as a gymnastics bar training unit, for swinging with a swing set that you can purchase and also for hanging clothes when not in use. You may use it both indoors and outdoors as long as you put it on a flat ground and a mat underneath to prevent accidents.
You can keep it in a covered porch as the metal is properly coated with a decent paint finish. And it should be OK with any temperature fluctuations it may be exposed to. Customer service team will be happy to help with any problems you may encounter, like parts or tools missing. If you wish to do exercises like back hip circles and lips you probably need to put some weights on the feet to enhance the stability. The reason for the lower star ratings were things like both holes being hard to get lined up, paint chipping and similar small fabrication errors. It is very nice and modern looking, sturdy and durable with a robust bar without splinters and a decent paint job, functional and user-friendly, easy to assemble and seems to be well worth the cost.
