Bodyshred (05-61577) is the brand new strategically focused DVD fitness program in 3-2-1 interval format by Jillian Michaels- one of America’s best known and most popular trainers for those with busy lives that want to get in shape pretty fast by dedicating just 30 minutes a day and every day but this is by no means an easy exercise program and each workout session is made up of 4 x 6 minutes of intense circuits for that strong and in-shape body. Run time for the whole thing 12 workout DVDs is 348 minutes and you will find 12 DVDs, a meal plan, a fitness guide and a rotational calendar in the box. We’re talking about the ultimate challenge to achieve the ultimate results and excellence, so do continue reading if you’re looking for something ‘not so easy’ but will deliver very decent results, but you will find easier versions of every exercise- the modifiers too.

Bodyshred is a 60-day progressive exercise program of 10 x half hour workouts that are made up of 8 ‘Shred’ method and 2 ‘Cardio’ workouts. It is strength, resistance and endurance based and is rather intense with a holistic approach that aims to maximise your metabolic potential and athletic performance. It claims you are going to look different very soon in 30 to 60 days as you will be losing fat and gaining muscle definition, and it is not going to be just about the way you look, your athletic performance will improve and your health will be better overall, you will look and feel better. It focuses on muscle splits on whether they are push or pull muscles and if you follow the plan as suggested on the program you will take Sunday (or one day) off. Push muscles are shoulders, triceps, quads and naturally chest and pull muscles are gluten, hamstrings, biceps and back. On Monday push, Tuesday pull, Wednesday cardio, Thursday push, Friday pull, Saturday push muscles and you will take Sundays off.

You also get a detailed meal plan that you need to follow and includes healthy recipes and ideas, tips, information on different foods and nutritional values when you’re following this awesome workout program to achieve a much better body in a short time and to maintain that physique. The science, methodology and logic behind the Bodyshred program is also explained by Jillian clearly. So what SHRED method is basically 30 minutes of your time daily + a 3-2-1 interval format and 10 modern and innovative fitness principles and these modalities include High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Dynamic Dumbbell Training, Metabolic Constant Training, Peripheral Heart Action (PHA), Super Setting and Mega Setting, Plyometrics, Progressive Intensity Leveling, Combo Lift / Complexes / Shredders, Bodyweight Training (BWT) and  Movement Possiblity / 3D Training. 3-2-1 Interval Format means 3 mins of muscle conditioning and resistance training, 2 mins of HIIT and Cardio and 1 min of active recovery. And with all these workouts and modalities you will successfully hit each muscle on your body and you will gain great flexibility, endurance, agility, power, speed, stability and strength and there will be no breaks in this half hour workout and zero repetitions. Please note that it is quite different to Jillian’s Body Revolution program, with small similarities of course but totally different moves.

Keep in mind that Bodyshred is some heavy, high impact and high intensity workout plan and after you complete this program all the others will appear easy and slow and you should get it if you’re up for it, to be able to achieve the excellence and not just ‘OK’  results and naturally it is not for those with any kind of physical restrictions including back problems.  A few customers commented that they followed the whole program as hard as it is but not the food plan and they still managed to lose inches off their body and to gain balance and core strength. We don’t really have anything bad to say about the program, the reviews we found are mostly positive and it is recommended for those that are up for some serious challenge and are able to follow the whole thing including the meal plans, not the very weak hearted but there are easier versions of each exercise as the person on the right shows the easier and the right shows the tougher version- so you have your modifiers too.
