Merax S301 is a modern belt-driven exercise bike with a sturdy build and heavy duty frame for indoor home use. It can carry a maximum user weight of 330 pounds on its solid steel frame. And you will feel comfortable on its large and comfy racing style saddle that can be adjusted both for height and distance to the handle.
It has a small and simple LCD display panel that shows the distance, time, calories, speed, ODOmeter and scan to show each indicator one by one without you pressing a button. It measures 40 x 21.3 x 42 – 48 inches and is a heavy duty product but can be moved easily on its transport wheels. It has a multifunctional handlebar that lets you exercise in different positions. Holding the down handle will help with the core section and the top handle will help with the shoulder workout.
You may adjust the saddle up and down for height and forward and back for the distance to the handle. It will accommodate different arm and height lengths and you can have a much more comfortable workout especially during longer sessions. The sturdy 22-pound chrome flywheel is a good size and offers a decent amount of stability. And the pressure resistance is adjustable with the felt pads. It creates more momentum over a longer time and it all feels very smooth when pedalling.
You can adjust the resistance
through the knob in the middle and your resistance will decrease or increase by a simple twist. With more resistance and challenge you will be burning more calories and fat. You can pedal both forward and backwards, depending on your mood at the time.
The pedals are removable and anti-slip and include cages for protection and not clips for your shoes but let you use the spin shoe clips. It will fit people of different heights as the whole thing- saddle and handles are adjustable forward, backward, up and down. Merax S301 is easy enough to assemble on your own and will be quicker if you have a second person helping you.
If you think the large seat that is 2” wide at the front and 6” wide at the back is not comfortable enough you can purchase a cushioned seat or put some extra padding on it. Some of the negative comments are about minor specific inconveniences that are not common to all on the market.
