ProForm 905 CST (PFTL10916) is a brand new release, powerful, high-end, and commercial-grade treadmill with a 3.0 CHP drive Mach Z Commercial Plus motor and a very good construction. It has a large 20 x 60 inches running belt that is a large enough space for you to feel comfortable on.
You will enjoy a great low-impact workout with the great proshox cushioning underneath the running belt, that also will give you a comfy and professional feel. This is a commercial level product but is designed for home use. Despite being a powerful unit with the extra bells and whistles it has a fairly compact and space saving design. It folds up easily so you can simply lift the steel frame and wheel it on its non-1.9-inch medium sized flex rollers that are precision machined and balanced to decrease tension.
It has a 5-inch LED-backlit iFit display panel that has all the usual indicators of speed, calories, distance, time, heart rate, and 12 easy buttons for 0 to 12% incline and 12 buttons for the 0-12 miles per hour (max speed is 12 mph). With the Global Google Maps, you will be able to choose where you work out. You can easily make micro adjustments with these quick touch control buttons. There is a total of 30 preset workout apps designed by the certified trainers to meet your different needs, elevating your heart rate, for burning fat and calories, toning up and getting in shape, using different incline levels and speed intervals.
There is a convenient built-in tablet holder at the top, so you can watch a video and exercise longer as time will pass much quicker. It has the dual 2-inch Intermix Acoustics speakers and the sound system is compatible with iPod and MP3. It comes with EKG grip pulse via the sensors on the handles just under the display panel and buttons. Coolaire workout fan that we saw in the other Proform models that we reviewed is also available on this model and will keep you cool during your workout.
It comes with the iFit Bluetooth Smart wireless chest strap for helping monitor your heart rate. The firm grip handles have a premium feel and offer both comfort and great support. ProForm 905 has a large walking deck that measures 20 x 60 inches and the whole unit is 61 x 36.5 x 78.75 inches with a shipping weight of 224 pounds. As a sturdy and durable product, it supports user weight of up to 350 pounds. A surge suppressor may help protect the treadmill but is not a requirement and you are also advised to lubricate underneath the running belt once a year or so. But this will also depend on how much you use the treadmill.
The 3.0 chp motor is designed to last much longer than normal with the self-cooling feature. It is nice to be able to choose your incline level between 0 to 12 degrees as you will get the chance to burn twice as many calories as no incline. You will see how good this treadmill is once you start using it every day. The belt is tested for a million cycles at twice the standard user weight before coming out on the market. It is very sturdy, has a cushioned deck for a low-impact workout with less stress on your joints, knees, and ankles, a great control panel with preset workouts and iFit compatibility, an integrated workout system, and a convenient fan to keep you cool. Warranty offered is one year for labor and three years on the parts and you can return it within 90 days.
