Universal U10 Upright Bike

Universal U10 Exercise Bike

Black Universal U10 is a recent release upright bike by Nautilus with a simplistic yet stylish and modern design, small footprint due to vertical design, adjustable magnetic resistance of 8 levels with Eddy brake resistance system, an easy to manage and read large LCD window that shows different useful indicators of time, speed, calories, distance, rpm, watts and pulse rate through the grip heart rate monitor sensors on the handles along with a 7 pre-set workout programs with varying degrees of difficulty and challenge by resistance changing according to schedule. You have the “Quick Start” option and the bike will start in just two to three seconds while recognising your movement. LCD panel console works with both batteries and AC adaptor which you need to purchase separately and will be more convenient to use as it will help save on batteries (works with 4 D batteries that will last for up to a year but are also not included in the package). As a low impact form of workout it will help you tone and strengthen both your lower body and core in your own time at home or office any time of the day and day of the week so you will do your cardio workout whenever you want. It would feel like a very safe upright bike to ride thanks to the solid heavy duty steel frame and over the foot straps which also make it easier to pedal by keeping your feet in place and the experience is rather smooth and with just very little noise from the flywheel.

Universal U10 Exercise Bike

Although U10 model is like the cheaper version of Universal bikes and seems to have a thinner seat, it is padded lightly so it can be a little hard to sit on and is height adjustable but without the tilt option. As an MP3 compatible product it has the audio port as well as the built-in small speakers on the left and right and a media tray for you to put your phone or tablet on but it will cover some of the LCD display and there is also a water bottle holder on the bike. Nautilus is a very well known company for great home fitness equipments- ellipticals, treadmills, exercise bikes and home gyms that are often gym grade as well as the compact fitness equipment with small footprint like the U10 Bike on this page and they offer very long warranties as proof of how they stand behind these products along with very good customer support. It weighs 64 pounds so it is quite heavy but is easy enough to assemble in just half an hour or so with the clear instructions with large drawings and tools included in the package if you can manage to take it to its place and measures 27.5 x 19 x 56 inches as assembled so you may put it in a corner of your room as it will not occupy a lot of space (you need about 56 x 67 inches space according to manual) and can have a maximum user weight capacity of 275 pounds despite its small size. You have the levelers at the back to level the bike for balance and transport wheels at the front for you to move it easily from room to room and with the levelers. Overall this is a well constructed, solid, sturdy and nice stationary vertical indoor bike that does the job nicely and is offered at a reasonable price for what it is.
