Schwinn AD7 Airdyne Fitness Bike

Schwinn AD7 Airdyne Bike

Schwinn AD7 Airdyne (100625) is the latest release compact fitness bike with the modern air resistance technology, and very good quality construction, offering great performance and flexibility with 9 workout programs. It is suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced users whether their goal is to warm up before strength training, losing weight or burning fat.

You have the infinite amount of wind resistance and you can go from low resistance when you’re just warming up or cooling down to very intense to burn the maximum amount of calories.  So you can have different types of challenging and versatile cardiovascular workouts, whatever your goals are. It has a large and high contrast LCD display that shows the calories, distance, time, speed, watts, rpm, and pulse rate.

LCD panel can be powered by a 9 volt AC adapter or 2 D batteries. The large padded seat is quite comfortable whether you’re having a quick workout or a long one. The one-stage direct drive system is easy to maintain and offers quit efficient power transfer. You can measure your heart rate in real time with the Telemetric Heart Rate Technology- there are no standard heart rate sensors on this unit. It has a very sturdy powder coated frame that is resistant to corrosion and will help it last much longer.

The fan is optimized so it works quieter than normal and offers greater resistance- decreased noise and decent air flow. And it gets breezy the harder you ride this bike so you can keep cool. There is a water bottle holder under the LCD console so you can be hydrated during your workout. This is a comfortable, quiet, sturdy (built like a tank), high-tech and versatile bike that is easy to set up and use. Like any fitness product you purchase online or from the stores, it will require some assembly but is not difficult to put together with the clear technical instructions.

You can fasten the pedals with the customized wrench that comes in the box. The LCD display is quite nice but not backlit or well illuminated and you’ll not see your stats clearly in dim light. Otherwise, this is a very good quality bike that offers a great deal of adjustability of pedal height and arm length and feels very smooth to ride at all times.

Black Schwinn AD7 weighs 113 pounds with an impressive user weight capacity of 350 pounds and measures 41.6 x 19.7 x 52.1 inches as assembled. It is pretty much the same machine as the Schwinn AD Pro which has a different warranty that makes it good for use in commercial gyms. It doesn’t seem to have entertainment options but as it runs quietly you can listen to music, watch videos when you’re working out on the AD7.

If you’re trying to burn fat, lose weight, keep fit and maintain your physique, owning something like the AD7 will save you both time and money over going to a gym regularly. And you can work both your lower and upper body without having to get out of the comfort of your home. Customers that own and use the AD7 say that they’re getting a great workout with it and the reviews are mostly positive with not many cons to report. Overall it is a very good quality bike that is built like a tank and that does the job very well. Warranty offered is six months for labor, two years for the electrical and wear parts and ten years for the frame.
