Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5633 is the latest release low-cost air rowing machine with a unique built-in fan that creates the resistance you need with your each pull of the handle by the air’s dynamic response to every stroke. It also has the magnetic resistance that is precisely adjustable to the standard 8 levels through the tension dial just in the middle offering enough variation. The seat is large enough and nicely padded for your comfort during your session and the chunky handlebar with flat nylon pull is anti-slip and comfy to hold.
There is a small digital LCD display that has the calories burned, count, time and strokes per minute (no distance) so you can track and monitor your workout progress so you stay motivated and with the scan mode, you may see each of these indicators continuously repeated without you pressing anything. The unit is easy to put together as you’re provided with a couple of tools you need for the assembly along with the good instructions. As you can see in the photo the slide rail is rather long as it measures 47.6 inches and people that are up to 6’4” tall can comfortably use this rower. It has a partially foldable design, is a light model that weighs just 42 pounds with a user weight capacity of 220 pounds, measures 76 x 24 x 27 inches and 51 x 24 x 48 inches when folded and you’ll notice the small transport wheels that will ensure convenient portability. The pivoting foot pedals are also anti-slip and include the foot straps that you can adjust to the size of your feet or how tight you want them and your feet will stay secure.
When you stroke quicker and harder the integrated fan will spin quicker and the resistance will be increased and you’ll experience more challenge. You will get a great complete body workout of your back, shoulders, triceps, biceps, core section and lower body without experiencing any burden on your joints but take the low seat position on this and similar models into consideration as well. The only con we can point out is common to all air rowers and that is the noise level as it is not very quiet due to strong air resistance and as long as you don’t have people around to disturb then this should be fine for you. But if you live in a small apartment with neighbors downstairs or next door then you may want to consider a non-air magnetic resistance rowing machine.
