The seat is large and comfortable with plenty of padding, has a contoured leg area, the seat back is ventilated and there is the aluminum sliding seat rail with the quick lever to adjust the seat forward and backward to accommodate users of different heights. 29 programs include 9 x heart rate control of beginner, advanced and custom, 4 x custom user, 2 x fitness tests, a quick start and a recovery test. It not only shows the usual indicators like distance, time and calories but also with the USB port you can sync your results- transfer it all to the Schwinn Connect website and the unit is compatible with MyFitnessPal that Schwinn is partnered with. Heart rate monitoring is good for checking instantly if you’re in the right fat burning zone.You can use both of the ergonomically placed heart rate sensors on handles on both sides of the seat and also the telemetry heart rate through the chest strap you can purchase- it is not included. The recumbent bike is made of a one-piece frame, sits on a very robust platform with the big mid-frame and two built-in levelers underneath.
And those with mobility or joint issues will enjoy its walk-thru frame that allows easy mounting and dismounting. There is a 3-speed fan with plenty of air flow yet manages to stay quiet to help you stay cool during your exercise. Schwinn Journey has a large water bottle holder to keep any size bottles so you stay hydrated during your workout. It is easy to assemble in less than an hour with the tools included and measures 64 x 27.7 x 49.9 inches as assembled and can have a total user weight of 300 pounds, is a sturdy and heavy sturdy product but can be moved from room to room with the transport wheels. The seat is quite comfortable with padding and ventilation on the back so you can have long sessions, and the tablet shelf is a little high and could be a bit lower. If you don’t like listening to music through headphones you will find great sealed acoustic chamber speakers on this Schwinn and it offers better quality sound with deep bass and rich treble than any fitness bike we reviewed so far. It is exactly the same model as the Schwinn 270, you will get the same design and features, even the same user manual. Good value for the dollar!
